Why not Riot? You can't count on much in India, but you're always sure of getting a good riot. With Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims all jockeying for shelf space in a 900 million+ population, there's no shortage of reasons to bust heads. Last month, Muslims in Bangalore went ape over a report that a nearby local mosque had been demolished. Before the riot was over, four people were dead and 33 injured, while more than fifty vehicles, two gas stations and six stores were destroyed. And the joke was on somebody, because the rumor about the mosque wasn't even true!

Is it India-specific? Hell no! The LA Riots were ten times as hard-core as this little affair. Still, LA was a rare event, and our hats are off to the people of India for maintaining this level of mayhem on a regular basis.
