Welcome to
Montana Sunrise Lodge

A simple hideaway, a sophisticated rub!

[montana sunrise lodge, where the beautiful people get rubbed out]

Through what appears to be a technical mixup, all the content of simpleton.com is now being reproduced at the web site for Montana Sunrise Lodge, a resort that appears to be somewhere in the Treasure State's Castle Mountains Region. If you click through the link in the preceding sentence, you will find yourself back on this same page, reading this article. Except that now you will no longer be a guest of simpleton or its holding company Calzone Ventures; you'll be a virtual guest of the ski/massage resort Montana Sunrise Lodge. And if the lodge's accomodations are even half as good as its Pierre Menard-like ability to reproduce simpleton content, this is certainly one of the finest resorts in the tri-state area.

Montana Sunrise Lodge doesn't just reproduce simpleton's current index page. Lodge proprietors Melissa and Dave Taylor provide the complete archive, the (not quite up-to-date) Tim elsewhere page, the whole works. If, for example, you type "montanasunriselodge.com/20020108.html" the Lodge will treat you to our recent encore presentation of The West Pembroke Hobnob. You can enjoy our legendary special report on the South Jersey police officer who enjoys chasing naked gay men around state parks, or even read the first simpleton ever, all without ever leaving the cozy confines of the Montana Sunrise Lodge.

How did I find the Montana Sunrise Lodge? When my current web host began sending out warnings that simpleton.com is getting too much traffic for my current bargain hosting rate, I promptly checked my web "referrer logs" to find out where all this "traffic" was coming from. The biggest culprit, of course, was simpleton.com itself, since most web traffic comes from good people clicking around within your site. But the number two generator of simpleton.com traffic turned out to be the mysterious montanasunriselodge.com. My attempts to find out about the Lodge, and why Dave and Melissa Taylor have taken such a keen interest in me, mostly proved futile. With a P.O. Box in White Sulphur Springs and a disconnected phone number, the Taylors are one tough couple to reach! A search for the Taylors at Showdown Montana's lodging page did turn up this useful entry:
SunRise Lodge : Melissa & Dave Taylor welcome you to their four guest-room home. The spacious master bedroom has a Queen bed and its own bath. The other three bedrooms each contain a queen bed and share two baths. The great room includes the kitchen, dining area, living room and an indoor sunroom. Your hosts are both Nationally Certified Massage Therapists, so enjoy Therapeutic Massage, River Rock Massage, Salt Glows, or Herbal Body Wraps during your visit. Nothing feels better after a day on the slopes. Call 406-547-3811 or visit them on the web.

Unfortunately, that was all I could find, and the phone number listed in this blurb is the same disconnected one listed at Network Solutions. I tried sending email to Dave Taylor's address, taylors@ttc-cmc.net:
Mr. and Ms. Taylor,

Our web site addresses appear to be crossed. Everything from simpleton.com is appearing simultaneously on montanasunriselodge.com. If you know anything about this mixup, please let me know. In the meantime, I'll do my best to advertise your resort.

yr pal,

tim

This message bounced with permanent fatal errors. But I feel - especially since the Montana Sunrise Lodge site is helping me in a way, by taking up some of the visitor traffic that might otherwise be exacerbating my problems with my web host - that I should help Dave and Melissa out. So although I have not had a chance to find out anything about their Queen-sized accomodations or "nationally certified" massage credentials, and in fact have never met, seen, talked to or communicated with the Taylors at all, I feel confident in recommending Montana Sunrise Lodge for all your winter sports and massage needs.

If you're an Olympian looking for a little last-minute training in an out-of-the-way spot, this is the place for you. No doubt the Castle Mountains provide some excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities, with a heapin' helpin' of western hospitality. If you're just looking to unwind, why not do it with professional massage artists in a scenic location? I'll bet there's a good chance Dave is blessed with a firm and penetrating fingering style, while Melissa just has a "knack" for finding the pressure points that have your muscles in a bunch. Your massage or body wrap will be enjoyable whether you choose Dave or Melissa. Who knows, if the Taylors are open-minded enough, you might be able to take on Dave and Melissa at the same time! No matter what your pleasure, I'm pretty sure you'll find Montana Sunrise Lodge provides the kind of quality and value you've come to expect at this site.
